Post Workout Protein Smoothie

As I've worked on improving my physical fitness and exercising more, I've also been more mindful of the macronutrients I eat and drink. A key building block in trying to be more physically fit and get stronger is more protein so I've been working on figuring out a great protein shake to have each day after working out.

I've found this one to be easy, delicious and one of my favorite things to eat or drink each day. It is especially rewarding right after the day's workout.

  • Water - tall glass worth
  • Chocolate or Vanilla Protein Powder (I use Human Improvement)
  • Creatine - 5g
  • Banana
  • Peanut Butter - scoop or two
  • Cinnamon
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • Ginger
  • Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

Blend it in the NutriBullet and enjoy!

I've tried honey but it gets too sweet. I also asked ChatGPT for any improvements and it is suggesting I add Cocoa Powder and Chia or Flax seeds.. So I'll try those out at some point.
